As a way to get a little more exercise, I've decided to ride my bike to work and back every day for the next 30 days, rain or shine. I hope there is more shine then rain btw. It's about a 6 mile ride, about the same as Stuart's ride to work (I think) in Denver.

However, just now as I was talking to Cass about it, i noticed my tire is flat. That kind of hinders the whole riding it back half of the equation. Hopefully I can get it fixed or it's going to be a long walk home.

Well I am really enjoying our first weekend in a very long time that we haven't had ANY plans!! It's a little embarrassing to admit that I slept in until 10am!! Craig and I went to ribfest last night and we shared a delicious 4 meat combo from Rasta Joe's. We had a few beers as well...Craig had to slum it with the Bud Lite Lime, but I thought it was as good as the food!

Speaking of good food...Craig just cooked (and didn't cook) some really good fish. We had grilled halibut and some Tuna Tartare. That's raw fish, folks. And it was all very delicious! I'm so lucky to have such a wonderful husband!

Today we picked out and bought some tile for our basement bar. We are going to tile a section of the basement for our bar and beer fridge. We also bought 2 new home brew kits. One is for an American Pale Ale and the other is a California Style India Pale. Hopefully we can get one of them started tomorrow.

We bought our plane tickets for Switzerland this week. WOO HOO! Two weeks in Europe...Conner and Abby are coming too! I'm so excited to see Thomas and Haley's new home. We hope to visit a few other countries as well. We have time to plan since we aren't going until June 13, 2010. I'm very excited, though! We also bought tickets to see the band Phoenix at the Slowdown in Omaha with Dave and Janet on September 21. We always have fun going to shows with them, so I'm excited about that as well.

We are going to watch "The Curious Case of Benjamin Button" tonight. It's 3 hours long so I guess we had better get started.

Craig will probably pass out when he sees that I've actually posted something to our blog. Are you okay, Craiggers?

We drove the kids to McCook to stay at Hugh Butler Lake with my parents for a whole week! We took Bowie as well. It's the best vacation that a kid (or a dog) could ever ask for. A week of getting spoiled, swimming, fetching, sailing, etc. It is a bit quiet around here without the kids AND the dog!

I just looked at some photos that Haley posted showing the amazing home that she and Thomas will be living in. Wow....I can't wait to visit. I'm moving "learning German" to the top of the priority list.

Craiggers and I are going to scope out a place for our new refrigerator (or "keggerator") to hold a keg of our home-brewed beer. We will be picking it up on Wednesday. Now, if we only had time to brew that beer. We are going to pencil it in on August 15. We will probably be having a keg party around the end of September so that everyone can sample our brew. If history is any indication....expect it to be AWESOME!
